Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University has been involved in international programs since 2011.

27 students benefited from mobility within International Credit Mobility (ICM) projects in the following universities: Malmo University (Sweden), Lodz University (Poland), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), Opole University (Poland), Babeş-Bolyai University (Romania), Vidzeme University (Latvia), Porto University (Portugal), Vilnius University (Lithuania), Sofia University (Bulgaria), Athen University (Greece), Tomas Bata University (Czech Republic), Rovira I Virgily University (Spain).

It is worth noting the implementation of exchange programs in the vocational direction. In 2023, 2024,  5 student of Modular Vocational Programs of Kaunas Education Center benefited from mobility at Zugdidi State University. Modular Vocational Programs: Computer Equipment Specialist, Information and Communications Technology Service Technician, Employee of the Agricultural Production Business.

Internationalization is one of the priority areas of Zugdidi State University.
Internationalization policy includes 6 goals: 

  • Increasing awareness and reputation of the university in the European and international educational space and promoting institutional development;
  • Internationalizing educational programs;
  • Internationalizing teaching, academic, and administrative personnel;
  • Internationalizing students;
  • Internationalizing research activities;
  • Internationalizing vocational education.
