Since the spring semester of 2021, the University Foreign Languages Learning Center has been actively involved in promoting the internationalization processes at the university. For this purpose, the center invited an American teacher of English to the university center. Through collaboration with the university teachers of English he will be actively involved in the implementation of the foreign language education program.

American teacher John William McNeill is already in Zugdidi!

He has working experience in different countries and has achieved unique results in the learning process. His innovative approaches and different methods are productive and result oriented. John William McNeil has experience in teaching English at schools and universities in Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, he has also worked as an assistant teacher at the University of Northern Colorado, United States.

Implementation of short-term educational courses in various fields have been planned at the Foreign Languages Learning Center, the classes will be conducted both in the university space and online.

University Foreign Languages Learning Center - FLLC

Will conduct English courses from A1 to C1 level: Beginner; Elementary; Pre-intermediate, Upper intermediate, Advanced.

Also teaching/learning process will be implemented based on G.Askurava's simultaneous translation method;

Based on the exams and testing, the learners who finish the full course will be provided by a relevant certificate;

The center provides training in the following programs:

General English Language Course Depending on the levels, the course offers to master the language at a certain level within 5-6 months.

Unified National Exam Preparation Course

International Certificate Exam Preparation Course- FCE, CAE, ILTS, TOEFL, PTE

Conversational language course /Spoken English

Preparing students to participate in exchange programs

Online English courses.

The center is equipped with modern technologies, human and material resources.

The courses include extensive and systematic training in all aspects:

Reading, Writing , Listening, Speaking, Vocabulary, Grammar/Use of English.

The lessons completely meet the requirements and needs of the listeners.

In order to pass the Unified National Examinations and to obtain an International Certificate, within the course learners will be able to:

Develop knowledge in accordance with the examination requirements; Get used to the right allocation of time - develop the ability to use his/her maximum knowledge in a limited time while working on tests.

Develop exam skills by working on similar exam tests.

Working of the center is mainly based on the methods of Goga Askurava, a linguist, translator-synchronist, and the founder of the Georgian Association of Translators-Synchronists.

a unique method of simultaneous translation will be used within the training courses;

After passing certain stages, intensive classes are conducted based on official documents, as well as media outlets like Skill Share and TED TALKS are used, movies are shown with subtitles, etc.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the center has switched its classes into online, used communication platforms are:

ZOOM, GOOGLE MEETS and other online chats.

The center announces admission of university students, its staff and any other stakeholders outside the university who are 14 years old and above.

Admission of students will take place from September 6 to October 10.
