In 2023, Zugdidi Creative Incubator was founded at Zugdidi State University.

A digital hub/platform was created within the framework of the "Creative Incubator and Ideas Laboratory" project with the financial support of the Vocational Skills Agency, Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi, and Creative Spark.

The project Zugdidi Creative Incubator was implemented in response to the 2022-2026 action plan of the Zugdidi Municipality Culture Development Strategy, which was developed and approved within the EU4Culture project funded by the European Union.

"EU4Culture" is a project funded by the European Union, and it supports the strengthening of the culture and creative sphere in the countries of the Eastern Partnership. The project is implemented by the Goethe Institute (leading partner), the French Institute of Georgia, the Danish Cultural Institute, and the Czech Centers.

Zugdidi Creative Incubator aims to support university students and local youth in new understanding and the practice of the role and opportunities of culture, digital arts, and creative industries while developing entrepreneurship and leadership skills, innovative ideas, and projects among students and youth, encouraging practical knowledge and skills by adopting habits and using digital platforms.

A student innovation support fund and a grant program were created on the basis of a creative incubator based at Zugdidi State University.

Within the framework of the grant program, in 2023-2024, a competition for the promotion of student innovations was announced twice. The purpose of the competition was to identify student/youth projects that would be focused on solving local needs, challenges and problems with innovative and creative approaches. One of the winning ideas - "One day in Kolkheti" (Clothes and table culture, in Kolkheti from BC to 1st century BC)  with the joint involvement of university professors and students, an interdisciplinary research was carried out, based on the results of the research, a film was created. FILM
