In 2023, Zugdidi Gastronomy Academy was established on the base Zugdidi State University within the framework of the Zugdidi Culture Development Strategy, developed and approved by the European Union-funded project "EU4Culture". NEWS

The 5-year culture development strategy of Zugdidi reflects the city's main cultural topics, priorities, goals, opportunities and perspectives for 2022-2026. Zugdidi outlined the following main strategic directions; Zugdidi as a creative city of cultural heritage, innovation, crafts and gastronomy. The University is the main partner of the City Hall in the project implementation process.

"EU4Culture" is a project funded by the European Union, and it supports the strengthening of the culture and creative sphere in the countries of the Eastern Partnership. The project is implemented by the Goethe Institute (leading partner), the French Institute of Georgia, the Danish Cultural Institute, and the Czech Centers.
