One of the main goals of the magazine is to find and study historical sources related to the cuisine of the Samegrelo region. Also, the passportization process of authentic dishes is essential, which takes place within the framework of the project together with the "Museum of Georgian Gastronomic Culture".
The passportization of common dishes in the Samegrelo region, the recording of storytellers and the determination of the authenticity of the dishes will create an archive for future scientific research.

  • "Zugdidi Center of Gastronomic Knowledge and Services"

The goal of the project is to train managers and instructors of gastronomic services in Zugdidi, as well as gastroguides, to create a European standard certified training program and to compile a digital manual.

  • Museum of Gastronomy of Zugdidi

In order to establish the Museum of Gastronomy of Zugdidi, the concept of the Museum of Gastronomy, an explanatory card of the concept and an action plan were created. An interdisciplinary applied research in the field of gastronomy is being conducted by the academic staff of the university to create a digital database for the museum. A strategy focused on gastronomy has become a targeted strategy for the university as a mechanism to increase and promote the attractiveness of the region, since tourism resources are still scarce in the region. Research will help preserve the gastronomic heritage of the region, which in itself will enrich gastronomic tourism. The results of the research will have an impact on the activities of the private sector in the gastronomic field and will increase their positioning in the relevant markets.
