• The objective of the educational program is to prepare an analytically minded specialist equipped with comprehensive knowledge in the field of history, this specialist will possess extensive knowledge spanning Georgian and global history, (including the history of the countries of the ancient East, ancient Greece, ancient Rome, Western European countries and the United States of America, the peoples of the Caucasus, Iran, the Ottoman Empire and Russia). based on the multifaceted theoretical and practical knowledge of history the graduate of the program will be able to understand the possibilities of professional activity, the search, processing and analysis of documentary materials and literature, the representation of history based on the mutual comparison of analysis of diverse sources;
• In addition to field knowledge, skills and professional values, the program will develop such transferable skills to the student, which will allow him/her to be employed and contribute to the development of the field and professional society through successful work;
• In order to promote the internationalization of education and participation in university student exchange programs, students enrolled in the program are required to know the English language, for which 20 credits are allocated in the program, and if necessary - free credits.

A graduate of the history bachelor's educational program can be employed in general educational professional and higher educational institutions, public service, private sector, international and non-governmental organizations, etc. (For employment as a teacher in general educational institutions, it is necessary to fulfill the additional requirements defined by the legislation of Georgia),
