On November 8, 2018 Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University hosted an international scientific conference dedicated to Nikoloz Baratashvili's anniversary date. The Participants were Professors from our university as well as from Iv. Javakhishvili State University of Tbilisi, Ilia University , Ak.

On November 2, 2018 Under organization of student self-governance Of Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University, internal university games are held between football teams by the “Futsal Rules”. The winner team will be awarded with various kinds of gifts, university cups and medals in the final match of the tournament.

Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi participated in the 4^th meeting of Erasmus+ project STAR „Sustainable Learner-Centered Teaching_ Advanced Resources for Georgia and China”. Meetings and trainings were held in Tbilisi (University of Georgia) and Zhanjiang (Lingnan Normal University, China) from October 14 till October 26.  

On October 11,2018,EU  program” Vocational Education Retraining and Employment/Labour market”  was presented at Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi. Representatives of the EU program and Georgian Social Service Agency introduced existed state services and programmes to the students.

The informational meeting was held at Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi about the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia. Representative of NATO and EU Info Center in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Ana Tsanava spoke about Georgia's cooperation with NATO and EU.
