The purpose of the symposium is to determine the problems and challenges related to tourism development in the region and to identify priorities that will promote the region's popularization and its better represantation as one of the best tourists regions of Georgia.

On September 25, 2018, professor Revaz Sherozia conducted a public lecture around the topic: "History of Georgia and issues of State Language’’ at Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi.

The academic year at Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi started with new challenges: internationalization, life-long learning, international exchange programs in different directions, public lectures, autumn, winter and summer schools.

On September 17-18, Shota Meskhi Zugdidi State University  hosts second consortium meeting of  the International  Project INTEGRITY , which is attended by representatives of  the partner  HEIs from UK, Ireland, Sweden and Austria, as well as 12 Georgian higher educational institutions.

23rd May in 2018 at Shota Meskhia State Teaching Unversity held the training session within the DARE international project.

On December 22, 2018  students of Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi  attended  public lecture of Professor Mamuka Beriashvili on topic: “State , Law and Human” within the project  “Development of Law Direction at Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi.”

 The lecture was held at Akaki Tsereteli State University.
